Arakas was humble food with great taste
Revithada was tasty and comforting
Tomato balls was crunchy and tasty
Dip plate was really good except they forget that we are vegan

Nice place to relax - Edit
There are several vegan options to choose from and lots of vegetarian choices as well. You cannot add items however, you can only take item away (no substitutes). We had excellent customer service from Christina, which was helpful considering the head cook wasn’t there when we went to eat. This meant most of the items on the menu were not available until after 2pm (it was 12:30pm). As for the food, we ordered the cashew garlic dip, highly recommend, and a traditional Greek dish (I cannot remember the name). The rice was not cooked all the way, so it was a bit crunchy. A friend ordered the falafel wrap and was not impressed. The bread was hard and it made it difficult to even bite into.
Read moreI did not order a salad, though when seeing others order them, they could easily be split between two people.
Pros: Low prices for food, Several options, Friendly service
Cons: Food undercooked

Disappointed - Edit
I was so excited to come to this restaurant and it was just a bad experience unfortunately. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food only to have her “clarify” what we had ordered after the 45 minutes, so another 5 or so minutes later we received our food. The bread and dip was great except for the fact that they give you two measly little pieces of bread for this massive amount of dip just so that they can up charge you for more bread. I ordered the Tranquilo salad I believe, and I honestly have never had a “bad” salad. The thing was huge, an absolute spectacle, which was cool. When it came to eating it though, it had NO TASTE? As if there were no dressing (but there was) and the avocado and pomegranate seeds were underripe or very overripe. No one ever acknowledged us waiting and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, many more places who would take more pride in their business.

OMG - Edit
I absolutely loved Tranquilo. Everything in this place is fantastic. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the cool staff... I would go back to Santorini ONLY to go to Tranquilo. Seriously, everyone should try it. I went twice to have lunch and even got a free cocktail. Very good prices and big portions. The food was delicious! I had a mushroom risotto one day and when I went back I ordered a vegan burger with baked potatoes, which I totally recommend.

Really vegan friendly, but nothing special - Edit
Sometimes is so hard to find completely vegan food in Greece, so in general I was glad to find a place with a lot of options for me, but is nothing special. However the portions and prices as avarage for the greek's standards. The staff was lovely.

Excellent food and service. - Edit
Have eaten here twice so far this holiday and will definitely go again. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and very helpful and take time to help with menu. The food we have had. So far is excellent! The only meat on the menu, so far as I could see, were about two chicken dishes.

Excellent vegan food, laid back vibe - Edit
We ate here 3 out of the 4 days we stayed in Perissa. The food was excellent, and very reasonably priced (converting euro to Canadian dollars).
Read moreWe really liked the Santrilos--pita bread stuffed with food and with a side of roast potatoes. Before I ate my last bit of potato on our last night, I said to my husband, "In about 20 seconds I am going to be really sad."
We also ate the fava, a lentil stew, the burger platter, and the eggplant dip during our time there. FYI, although they are on the same list, the fava is enough for one person's meal but the eggplant dip is not.
The salads are huge. We didn't try one, but they come in a huge bowl and look as though two people could share one as a main meal.
Pros: Almost all vegan, Right on the beach, Reasonably priced
Cons: Smoking is allowed in bars/restaurants in Greece

Tasty but don’t know the definition of vegetarian - Edit
This place was lovely and tasty BUT to be fair on my dairy loving boyfriend we ordered the vegetation sharing dip platter which had Tzatziki in it but the waiter informed us everything else was VEGAN. I asked him while ordering and when the food came so I could make sure which I could eat. On starting one of the ‘vegan dips’ my boyfriend thought he tasted tuna and on investigation it was 100% tuna. For a place that claims to be mostly vegetarian this was very disappointing.

Chilled place with great vegan options - Edit
This is an absolute gem on the beachfront in Perissa. The menu is not entirely veggie/vegan but there are loads of options. The various times I visited during my stay I had the roasted veg flatbread with beetroot hummus, the chickpea and the fava bean mezzes, the breads and dips (most on the menu are vegan), and a pear and tofu salad which was enormous and so delicious. The food was all fresh and a welcome change from some of the more greasy unhealthy options at other tavernas on the beachfront. I highly recommend this place if you're nearby (and even if not!)

Hippy happy place - Edit
I loved this place, very friendly and great healthy vegan options. Generous portions. Lovely sandy spot on the beach that you can sunbathe on all day if you're eating at the restaurant later. It is a little bit hippy dippy, which made my partner roll his eyes, but the great food brought him round, ha ha! Definitely the spot to be at in Perissa for vegans.

Slow service and wrong food order - Edit
Many of the vegan hot dishes were unavailable so I requested one of the vegetarian meals without cheese. Waited an hour for the food to arrive, which the waiter said was the usual wait for this time of day, and when it eventually came my meal had cheese in it. The waiter told me that they could not give me another portion of what I had ordered as this was the last portion of this dish. They told me that I would have to order and wait again. I was not impressed at this point however the waiter conceded to not charge us for this disaster. Won't be coming back.

Best place in Santorini! - Edit
I wish that I had discovered this place earlier on in my trip as I pretty much lived here for the rest of the time and still dream of their food since returning home. Plently of options and the fruit smoothies are great as well. A perfect accompaniment while lounging in the hammocks.

Fantastic - Edit
We visited Tranquilo 3 times during our stay in Perissa and it was fantastic every time. The servings are huge and wonderful value for money, and the food is a mix of Greek and more contemporary international dishes. Vegan dishes are clearly marked, and the staff were very helpful when ordering - actually steering us away from over ordering instead of just wanting to make more money off us which was refreshing!

95% of the menu is vegetarian. There are a couple of dishes with chicken that look lonely and weird. If you are vegetarian this place is heaven on Santorini.

Awesome! - Edit
The service is incredible! They are so nice and welcoming, the seating area is beautiful!!! But let's get back to the service: I was in Perissa for a week and almost every day I was at the Tranquilo! After a day they just told me options what they could veganize for me and what would maybe be a little ti dry without the souce. They were kind and understanding and it didn't seem like they were annoyed by me always ordering a bit more complicated, what I'm not used to at all, normally they seem to be annoyed by my way of eating.
Read moreAnd they deliver you awesome tasting gigantic smoothies to the beach, while you are chilling out on a sun bed under a sun umbrella, how cool is that?!
Now the food: It's awesome! Everything I had filled me up and made me happy and energized! It was sooooo delicious and if you are on Santorini go check that restaurant out!!! It's awesome!

mostly fake - Edit
They claim to have plenty of vegan options. Well, when I informed them that I am alergic to animal proteins and would sue them if I got any reaction, suddenly nothing was vegan anymore. The burger has butter in it, the falafel eggs, etc. etc.

not great - Edit
Ordered a salad and specifically asked them to not include the cheese and mayo listed on the menu. My salad came out with both on top and when I brought this up with a waitress, she stared at it, said 'give it to me' and took it away. Another guy came out later with a new salad, but did not say a word to me. I was unhappy that they didn't even provide any explanation or apology. Their English is not great.

First of all I would have rated this restaurant with five stars but happy cow allows a perfect tasting only for vegetarian restaurants...

Good veggie food - Edit
The menu is mostly veggie friendly with many vegan options, the salads are huge and if you can't finish it they will wrap it up to take home. I had the garden salad (minus feta) and it was delicious. The staff all speak good English and are very friendly and helpful. definitely recommend.

GREAT vegan choices, nice laid-back atmosphere - Edit
Our waitress instantly pointed out all the (numerous) vegan options on the menu. Fabulous veggie burger, amazing "gigante" bean dish, and awesome, huge salads. Great atmosphere - very laid back and definitely catering to backpackers, longtime travelers etc with the background music of Bob Marley and other familiar songs. You MUST have at least one meal at this place if you are visiting Santorini; it's one of the few places where the entire staff understands perfectly what the words "vegan" and "vegetarian" mean, and their dishes deliver.

Amazing food - Edit
Absolutely in love with their food! I was there in August and found them by accident (they were not on happycow at the time). Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and most importantly amazing food. Very large portions too, which I was very happy about because I have a big appetite.
Read moreEven though we only had four days on Santorini we went two days in a row and I would have went four days if only I had found them earlier. You have to try the bean stew if it's available, it's a traditional Greek dish but I forgot the name (should have written the review when I went, sorry).
Edit: Apparently I can only give four cows because this is a non-vegetarian restaurant. Silly rule if you ask me? The place is very friendly towards vegetarians and vegans, more veggie than meat dishes if I remember correctly.
Pros: Big portions, Friendly staff, Great Food
