If you are going from the city to the airport then it's worth stopping here. We had 1 Tan8, 1 S-Wange, 1 Fumus and 2 "tiramisu" everything was delicious.

I got the seasonal lampredotto and It was incredibly tasty and fresh. The service was also really fun! The only thing is that it's slightly expensive for what you get and the fact that it's only takeaway(I was still hungry).

Yes the concept of the food being delivered from a basket above is a bit kitchy and gets a lot of attention, but the true delight is in the food itself. I love this place so much and go wildly out of my way to come as much as possible. Collectively, we have tried every sandwich and my favorite has been the pepper one, but honestly, you can't miss here.

We got the train out to this part of Florence specifically to come to this sandwich eatery - and boy am I glad we did it.
Read moreYou message them on WhatsApp with your order 10 mins before you rock up, and then they shout to you from their balcony before lowering you your traditional sandwich in a basket on a rope.
Because we were a group of 4, I was fortunate enough to try 4 different sandwiches, and the one that we translated to something like “pepper beef” was my favourite. Succulent and dripping with flavour, this style of Italian sandwich was something unique that I’ve never experienced before as a vegan.
You know it’s good when you are aware of how piping hot it is, but you can’t help yourself and burn the roof of your mouth anyways. A strong will and heavy restraint is required not to give yourself second degree burns - I wouldn’t have it any other way.
An amazing experience overall - worth the train ride.
