Doing good - Edit
I had the oat hot chocolate and a tomato and avocado toastie both of which were delicious.

stop shaming them. This place can coexist.

Alas all the slaughtered baby cows can’t coexist with it.

they are doing some good, although not perfect in an ideal world. Can they reduce suffering by a little and still be okay?

"Okay" does not equal a 5 star review though, does it? Not unless these "vegans" are "okay" with animal exploitation?"

Excellent toasties - Edit
The toasties here are amazing! They're all vegan and they have a good range of well thought-out, good quality fillings to cater to different preferences. I got the cheese and kraut, it was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. The bread is thick and delicious and they put the perfect amount of stuff in to make them super tasty and filling without overloading them, so they don't fall apart when you eat them. Love that it's a social enterprise too. I'm excited to discover this place after moving nearby and it will definitely be one of my go-to places to eat. Maybe next time I'll pause long enough to get a photo before absolutely demolishing it!

Would be great to get a menu photo uploaded here too ;)
Read moreTheir website menus have coding for the other 2 outlets, but not for this one, which has a smaller menu.

I'll get a pic next time I go there if I remember!

Thank you :)
Read moreI am hoping the food is all vegan as you suggest, but they do say "choice of milk" for the porridge, and apple crumble; leaving the rest slightly ambiguous.

Yeah I mean my review is over a year old and they've always done dairy milk as a coffee option so I don't know. I've also only ever had their toasties, which as of my last visit maybe 4-5 months ago were all vegan.

Oh also just to confuse things I think their different locations have completely different menus, and I have only been to this one!

Yes, the other 2 venues have larger menus that are coded. It would be good if this menu were coded too, hopefully confirming that all food is vegan.

Great value toastie - Edit
Ordered the Tofu toastie but could only manage half in one sitting as I washed it down with an iced chocolate latte. Took the rest home for later! Would return.

Delicious toasties - Edit
We sat outside and had a soy coffee, hot chocolate and 2 toasties. The toasties were huge and filling. They are all vegan. I had the kraut and cheese. I really enjoyed the flavour of the combination. They also had some cakes for sale but I was too full. I’d love to try their other toasties and porridge when it is available.

Best sandwich/toastie & coffee in Melb, hands down. - Edit
To say everything about this place is amazing would be an understatement. Food was incredible, all vegan. Coffees were amazing. I will definitely be back as often as possible.

Super Lovely Staff and Vegan Options - Edit
I regularly go here to grab a coffee (Almond and Soy milk, 20 cent discount with a Keep Cup and they have a loyalty card) as it's right near Anstey Station. The staff are always lovely and the business is a social enterprise supporting some amazing causes. They primarily do small eats but a great place to grab a sandwich/bagel. They have vegan options, including an awesome eggplant sandwich with cashew cheese. You can also use the Bring Me Home App here to order food that would otherwise have gone to waste at a discounted rate.

Delicious bagels! - Edit
Super friendly staff. They offer a few delicious vegan options for overnight oats and bagels. I've had the Hey Pumpkin bagel and "duck" bagel. Both were really delicious.
