Incredible Menu - Edit
The hype on this place is real. Best vegan food I’ve had in my 8 years of veganism. The chilaquiles were an incredible breakfast choice. Went back for dinner and even though they had a long line the food was out shortly after we sat down.

treat yourself - Edit
my friend and i sampled tumerico's various tacos, burritos, and their chilaquiles (plus the house-made flan) on our recent stay in tucson. our food was flavorful & perfectly seasoned, and the flan was delicious. also, the workers we interacted with were helpful and friendly. tumerico is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing local Mexican food - Edit
I have been a huge fan of Tumerico long before the well deserved James Beard hype. The food is vegan mostly (some options with eggs and cheese) and simply delicious. Enough said!

Best in Tucson - Edit
As far as I'm concerned this is the best vegan food in Tucson, and maybe Arizona altogether. The tamales are absolutely outstanding. So was the pastor burrito. This is the kind of place where it seems like a chef decided to make a vegan restaurant. I cannot wait to go back, and would happily drive 100 miles for this place, and probably will.

Lots of options - Edit
So many good options in this vegetarian restaurant. So glad that we tried it since we constantly kept thinking about going here when it was closed. The food is very good and the service is very fast. The restaurant ambience is not the best and certainly the parking can be challenging. Looking forward to trying the other location soon.

Creative and delicious! - Edit
Had lunch at Tumerico with friends and family when I was visiting Tucson. It's now on my short list of the BEST vegan-friendly restaurants in the Western States! I had a burrito with 'carnitas' and red chili which was delicious and satisfying. I loved that it came with a generous green salad as well as rice and beans to balance things out. It was a *real* salad made with mixed greens, not the shaved iceberg lettuce you see in many standard Mexican restaurants. I can't tolerate much onions or garlic and they were very flexible with almost all menu items which allowed me the rare opportunity to be overwhelmed with lots of great choices! I loved the use of jackfruit paired with a variety of delicious sauces. Because there were six of us in our group I had the opportunity to get samples of a number of menu items which were all excellent. I will definitely be eating at Tumerico whenever I'm in Tucson!

Best jackfruit ever - Edit
I always find jackfruit a bit meh, but they’ve found a way to perfect it. Sadly I’m genetically predisposed to hate cilantro which is a bit of a problem, but otherwise it’s delicious.

Heard great things and did not disappoint! I got tostadas that came loaded and on a bed of greens. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. It also came with a side of beans and rice. Huge portions. The inside seating did leave some to be desired, it’s a casual spot.

Everything is so fresh, authentic, delicious and filling! They have a few vegetarian options but I hope one day they become strictly vegan. Oh and the potato tacos are the absolute best! They also have a small case with baked goods like cookies and cupcakes

Never disappoints - Edit
We've eaten at Tumerico about a dozen times (who's counting?), and have never had a meal we didn't like. The servings are very generous, and I always have to take some home. They have recently expanded their dining area after taking over the space next door, and on a Sunday afternoon, it's still almost full of happy people busy scarfing down the delicious eats. Super friendly staff, and casual, comfortable atmosphere. Today they offered a dish I hadn't seen before - the Diego Rivera enchiladas covered in mole sauce. (There's always something new and/or surprising on the menu.) The sauce was superb. Just can't rave enough about this restaurant. I consider it the best of breed for Tucson (maybe the entire west!).

Favorite authentic Mexican food spot in Arizona! Con sazón! Every dish is on point, my favorite are the Al pastor tacos (can be spicy but it’s a good spicy). Super filling because your dish comes with beans, rice, salad, pico de gallo, tortillas.

Yes. - Edit
Yes. Everything I have had here has been ~tops~. I brought a new vegan and he said the jackfruit 'tricked my brain'. The most recent time we had tamales, chilaquiles, and a breakfast platter. You know you have a really good meal when everyone is too focused on eating to talk anymore. We were having such a great day and then we got here and it was total silence for a few minutes as we dug into the sharing plates.

Best in AZ!! - Edit
My wife and I had to eat here twice it was soooooo good. Everything is so fresh and comes with sides of salad, rice, beans and fermented veggies good for your gut health! The huitlacoche tostadas (Frida Kahlo on the menu) and the breakfast tamale stand out the most. The ropa viejas was also incredible and I’m not usually a fan of jackfruit but they did it the best I’ve had. Would eat here all the time if I were a local. Also loved the Tumeric Lemonade. As a final piece, the staff were all so kind and friendly and genuinely interested in us and our experience. Love love love this place.

Wow! A must inTucson. - Edit
We were brought here by our friend who said that non-veg folks consistently love this place, in addition to vegans and vegetarians. The food was amazing and the portions were large. Our to-go order was quick! It was a splurge price-wise for us but so glad that we went there. Thank you!

Fresh and authentic - Edit
Visiting family in Tucson so we picked this place for lunch based on the reviews. The 4 of us tried the Cuban tacos, tamale plate, chili relleno (with cheese) and 2 more entrees that escape my memory. Everyone loved the food! We also all had drinks - chai tea latte, lavender latte, and 2 others. Not the best tasting but not bad. This place doesn’t give you free chips and salsa while you wait which was a bummer, so we had to order some as well as pico and guac. The chips are homemade puffed fried pieces served hot. Very interesting. I didn’t like them at first as they were a little tough and chewy. But after you get into them they kinda grow on you. So after 5 entrees, 4 drinks, 2 orders of chips with pico and guac, tax and tip, the total was $160. Not a place I’d go to regularly due to the cost but it was a nice splurge. Great service and friendly workers.

Cons: Chips and pico are extra, A bit spendy
