I have eaten at Tumérico many times and have never been disappointed. They are now so popular they have expanded into the neighboring shop. If you are just thinking about becoming vegan, start here. your transition will be easy and delicious.

Truly my favorite restaurant - Edit
I’ve been to Tumerico many times and every visit it blows me away. The food is traditional and all whole food plant based. Their menu is a on a chalkboard but typically stays pretty similar. I usually get their ropa vieja plate without tortillas. This time I got the plate but only with the Cuban jackfruit so I removed the mushrooms and peppers. (The jackfruit here is truly the best I’ve ever had.) Whatever you get, you have to get it with “all powers”. It makes the meal. You won’t go wrong with anything on the menu here. Truly a gem and I wish we had one in Phoenix.

This place is so damn good, oat horchata latte and cookie was great. Pazole might have been my favorite though, broth was sooo good. Breakfast burrito really awesome as well and super large portion. My wife got tamales which were also outstanding. Service was great and super friendly as well. Ate way to much but loved it!

We ordered the Tumerico Burrito - al pastor (Vegan) and the red tamale and the al pastor tacos. The al pastor is the perfect combination of spice and flavor. Turmeric carnitas. I’m from the south and this is the first dish so far that hits all the spices in the right places like I’m used to in Louisiana. I definitely definitely recommend the Al Pastor Burrito. I loved every bite. I’m not really big into tamales so I probably wouldn’t order that again but…. DEFINITELY LOVE THIS AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE! And I love that the majority of the menu is vegan. Definitely will be coming back.

Was expecting more since it’s a popular dish. However the al pastor and the ROPA have WAYYYY more flavor. So if you’re looking for something super authentic and flavorful I would recommend those.

The menu items are diverse and offer delicious takes on dishes that normally use meat, typically using jackfruit as the sub. The phone in process can be trying, as they have one cell phone with call waiting, so the phone can ring endlessly without an answer if someone is on the other line. Management seems to be spread thin and fulfillment of menu items has lately been a bit slipshod (missing items, substitutions without asking or notifying the customer).

I stopped at Tumerico while I was moving from CA to TX. Hands down the best food I have EVER tasted and fear I’ll never be able to get anything like it made by myself or any local location lol the kind of food that makes me fall in love with being Vegan all over again. If you have been in Tucson as long as I have, you will walk into any Latin restaurant or vegan restaurant with high standards but low expectations! Tucson is judgy af ‘bout those! So it is with Tumerico. Let me tell you - the tables were certainly turned LONG before we came through these folks door! Even the AIR is delicious! The staff is warm & welcome, the settings are homelike…this is the place to invite someone you want to impress OR a place you take yourself to say “I love you.” Oh yeah, the food? Be surprised each time by the active chalkboard that rotates in something new all the time. One has to try REAL hard to not keep getting they fav (not saying what mine are, but let’s just say future colonizers like ‘em on Tuesdays!) You will feel good, & knowin you are investing in a rising local will bless yo soul. Peace.

I can see that I'm in the minority, but I didn't enjoy this at all. I thought it was a vegan restaurant but it isn't and there are eggs and cheese in some of the dishes. The chile relleno is by default not vegan. The vegan version is stuffed with bland, mushy jackfruit, which was a huge disappointment.

The rice and beans were, as you may have guessed, bland. A couple good things! The little bit of salad and onions were pretty good and the turmeric lemonade was great.
