We just went to Tumerico for the first time since moving to Tucson. My wife got the Breakfast Burrito and I got the Frida Kahlo Bowl. Both were excellent!! We will definitely be returning.

Cake that will make you cry!

We split the Cuban Tacos and the Frida Kahlo Tostadas and were absolutely blown away by our fresh, flavorful feast. Finally, Mexican food that wasn’t greasy and heavy! We also split a piece of Tres Leches cake and I nearly cried it was so delicious.

Pros: Lots of vegan dishes, Cheerful servers, Fast

Healthy & DELICIOUS!

We were greeted by a friendly woman who helped us navigate the menu & gave us a rundown of items available to take home. You order upfront & then sit down to be served. The food is amazing! We’ll be back! 😋

My new taco Tuesday hang out ;)

The Al Pastor was amazing, but a bit spicy for me. The Cuban tacos were just right!

Served with some salad and beans. I cant wait to come back!

Too good to be true

This food was way too good. They seriously must practice magic. My partner's favorite dessert before transitioning to plant-based was tres leches cake, which I've never had. Tumerico had slices so we got one and 1) he said it's right on point, perfect taste, and 2) I LOVED IT. And our dinners were amazing. Honestly, I don't even love the city but Tumerico made it much better.

Great tasting food with a caveat

This is a nice vegan restaurant with a great outdoor seating area (4th Ave location). The indoor seating was closed due to covid. The food was delicious and came quickly. The caveat is that like many restaurants, they use a lot of oil when cooking. Even the salad had oil. In my younger days, this would not have been an issue, but now that I only cook oil-free at home, and my body has aged, I find that I can't eat food cooked with a lot of oil. If that is an issue for you, be careful. If it isn't an issue, then you will love this restaurant.

Pros: Nice outdoor seating, excellent food, friendly staff

A happy surprise for a lost tourist

Visiting Arizona and Tucson for the first time and got lost amongst construction. Starving, we discovered Tumerico was close and wow!
I had the Ropa Vieja with jackfruit, tasty refried beans, huge serving, delicious, and cold sweet hibiscus tea. There were even vegan desserts: the tres leches cake, brownies, and cookies!
A tasty vegan surprise while lost in Tuscon.

Pros: All vegan options, well seasoned, desserts, Calm atmosphere, excellent covid cleaning and , distancing measures, friendly staff

Cons: Tiny parking lot

AMAZING!

I have been here a few times now and every time I am amazed! I have tried different things each time and my favorite has to be their burrito. Their menu changes daily on what ingredients they have in stock so you know everything is always fresh! Their jackfruit is so tasty and one of my favorites as well. They also have amazing lattes, I love the saffron and the cardamom. Every time I go, the staff is OUTSTANDINGLY friendly, always asking how the food is. I make this a FOR SURE stop every time I am in Tucson. I can’t wait to come back to try more! :)💗

Pros: Menu changes daily , Friendly staff , So many options !!!!

Cons: None!

Local, fresh food with changing menu

I love the concept of their menu changing daily based on their fresh food supply, that’s how you know you’re getting a quality meal! The dishes taste great and the portion sizes are very large, so I had left overs for the next two days which was a win in my book. Extremely friendly staff. If you’re not feeling like dining in I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend getting their jackfruit mix with green sauce in the to-go fridge and cooking at home. GAME CHANGER!! I’ve used it in tacos, nachos, rice bowls, mixed in vegan mac n cheese- can never go wrong with that!

New favorite restaurant

The menu isn't online because they updated daily, cooking from scratch, and sourcing as locally and organically as possible. The flavors and textures are incredible. we couldn't find the menu online but we called and they texted us a picture of the daily menu. Almost everything is vegan. We had tostadas with squash blossoms jackfruit chicken enchiladas, and tamales with jackfruit carnitas. The saffron latte and horchata latte were great beverages to compliment.

Pros: Delicious, unique, dozen options, thoughtful staff

Cons: Can be busy at times, ~ 14 dollars a dish (fair!)

Featured on Diners drive ins and dives!

Let me start by saying the service here is absolutely excellent. We had the door held open for us and were asked if it were our first time. We were told that everything is made from scratch and the menu is on a chalkboard because it changes daily. Everything is plant based and you can add cheese or an egg if you want to.
We ordered: Texas BBQ taco plate, Cuban taco (it was suggested as the best), tamale plate & sweet sunrise juice.
I reallllllly wanted to order the crispy tacos as well but I’m not supposed to be eating fried foods right now due to arthritis and my adrenals.
My husband LOVED his tacos. He couldn’t really choose a fave between the Texas bbq taco & Cuban taco because they were both so good.
I didn’t love my tamale plate, I think it was the potatoes & olives in it. But I’m guessing that if I got the crispy tacos I would’ve loved them. I’d give it a 4.5
It’s also really cool that Guy Fieri was here and they were featured on the Food networks- Diners drive ins and dives tv show. Says a lot! It’s a great place and it was busy when we went.
We would definitely come back when back in Tucson.

So flavorful!

I have been dying to try Tumerico for years and finally got to try it for dinner this trip to Tucson. I had the tamale plate with the vegan tamales. Would absolutely come back to try more of the menu.

Generous Portions

Flavors were spot on. I had the Carne Asada - only two tortilla shells are provided, but there's so much food. You need a third shell. It was pricey. Almost turned us away. $18 for my dish alone. There are little less expensive options. Tamales are great! That spinach salad is yummy! Overall great meal!

Pros: Flavor, Food Quality, Friendly Staff

Cons: Very Pricey

Delicious, flavorful vegan food

Loved this place. I got a spicy burrito which was delicious. They also gave us a massive side of beans. The flavors were great, the staff friendly, and the vibes cool.

Edit: rethinking this place the other day, and the spicy burrito might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Pros: Delicious affordable food, Friendly staff , Nice ambiance

Cons: Not a lot of menu variety

Super delish,great service and atmosphere

I went to dinner with a friend and I’ve heard nothing but good things from plant-based friends. I had the veggie bowl and a Pick Me Up juice. It was so good and I’m excited for my left overs. I’m going to try the guacamole tacos next time. And I want to stop in for a latte one day. Super cute, laid-back atmosphere. I will be back for sure.

Pros: Rotating menu for of fresh food!, Coffee bar and great servers., Eclectic and sustainable

Cons: 🤷‍♀️

Mediocre

The food was okay. I had the Cuban tacos with jackfruit, they were tiny. The beans were just bland. If you want a nice atmosphere go elsewhere, kinda dirty and cafeteria like. My husband and I paid $42 for tacos and fresh juice.....too much in my opinion

Cuban tacos are pure joy

The Cuban tacos are seriously fire. If I were to choose between my favorite non-vegan taco and their Cuban tacos - the Cuban tacos would win! I will be back!

Pros: Nice ambiance, Helpful workers, No judgement

Amazing

Loved everything about this place from the food to the ambiance (super casual but beautiful decorations) to the service style. Received food incredibly fast and it was outstanding. Jackfruit adobo was best jackfruit I've ever had. Everything that came with it was amazing too. It seemed like pretty much everything on the menu was vegan except a couple of breakfast items with eggs (but you could sub tofu).

Pros: Delicious, creative, Easy parking, fast service

Best vegan brunch in Tucson

Tumerico is my favorite place for brunch in Tucson. Everything in the menu starts out vegan but you can ask for cheese and eggs. Because of this, It is also a popular place for non-vegans. The food is very fresh and I like that meals come with coffee and a cup of soup. My usual is the Cuban tacos but the chiliquiles and the mesquite pancakes are great too. Tumerico is known for their jack fruit carnitas and I would suggest getting a dish with that in it. A friend of mine orders the burrito which look a bit boring to me but they enjoy it. For Tucson, it is on the more expensive side with a meal averaging around $15. I think it’s worth it.

There are now two locations. The original Is located in San Hughes and the new one is located on 4th avenue downtown. The one downtown is smaller place and has a smaller menu and the meals don’t come with coffee and soup. The meals are cheaper though. The porch is nice for people watching if it’s not too hot out.

Added bonus, the staff is always super friendly!
