GO HERE - Edit
This restaurant is exactly what you pray it is - amazing French vegan food. Honestly, it was so hard to pick what to get. The waiter suggested Escargot and Coq Au Vin. Of course, he said he could only one favorite. It has been so long since I had proper French food. I could have cried. Come here!! 🥹❤️

french vegan gem - Edit
i have been several times to both the new and old locations and it never disappoints. i love places that veganize dishes that are very hard to find vegan elsewhere, like crepes and foie gras. the chef is very creative and achieves the taste of authentic french cuisine.

Pretty good, not great - Edit
Nice ambience inside
Read moreWe had the savory crepes - the crepes were a little dry. The most dominant flavor in the filling was vegan cheese, which can taste a bit fake and repetitive
The sweet crepe itself was better, but it needed to be sweeter and seasoned more. It lacked quite a lot of flavor

I only had the crepes! They were good although the shredded cheese, chicken, and ice cream did not seem made in house.

Favourite place in NYC - Edit
My partner and I both loved it so much that we made every effort to go twice. The first time I had boeuf bourguignon and I really appreciated the sauce and texture of the beef. The second time my partner ordered coq au vin, which was very good, and I splurged on the tournedos rossini, which was excellent. I was impressed to find that different types of meat were prepared differently and that the restaurant has really mastered the tastes and textures typical of French cuisine. I hadn't had anything like it in my dozen years of veganism and I really think Délice and Sarrasin is worth the detour. I wouldn't hesitate to bring anyone there.

Lovely dinner - Edit
We had a great dinner. The new location is elegant and comfortable. Dinner was fabulous. The escargot is delicious. All the main courses we had were great. The sweet crepe for dessert was excellent. Service was great. A lovely dinner.

We only had dessert here. We tried several sweet crepes, and they were are fabulous. Ours had melted dark chocolate and whipped cream, and roasted bananas, roasted almond or roasted pear. The restaurant is small and very pleasant. Service was great.

Vegan French Cuisine? Oui, Merci! - Edit
We haven’t been here in a few years and lo and behold, they’ve moved. They’re in a bigger, more beautiful space, but the food is still just as delicious as ever. Best birthday dinner I could’ve asked for. Thank you.

Cute fancy French brunch - Edit
Had a perfect brunch on a rainy afternoon here. It felt like I could close my eyes and be in Paris. It’s nice when a place is vineyard and the food is delicious too. Crepes, truffle fries, and escargot were my favorites. I was stuffed but had to finish with the orange creme brûlée. 👩🏾🍳😘

Aroma & Atmosphere - Edit
The ambiance transported me straight to a charming Parisian bistro. Servers were good. This was the first time I tried French cusine and liked it, specially Oeuf Meurette a la Bourguignonne, Crabe Pané aux Choux de Bruxelles, La Lolotte and Orange Creme Brulee.

Stupid good - Edit
Historically I haven’t liked French dishes that much, but my vegetarian friend in town said this place was really good and so I decided to give it a chance. I’ve never had escargot before so I’m not sure how it compares to eating animals, but the vegan version were little mushroom umami bombs. So yum! I also got the Mr Rabelais savory crepe, which was also good, loved the first few bites but after awhile the cheese was just too much for me. I am not very fond of melty/gooey cheeses so I didn’t love the texture. It was definitely worth trying though and if you like Emmental cheese it just might be your dish.
Read moreEdit: I came back to NYC and brought my partner along this time! We tried the verrine de saumon, the seitan duck in mustard sauce, and la paysanne galette. Everything was so tasty I could have wept. I’m going to dream about the mustard sauce on the seitan duck. I also liked the paysanne galette (especially the tomato and bacon) even though the cheese is still too much for me. 😅 I highly recommend the verrine de saumon as an appetizer. It makes me want to try the salmon galette next time.
BTW they moved locations so they have a much more space now. They’re also open for lunch so take advantage and get the gang together.
Update: I still love coming here and will continue to do! Most recently I tried the Mr Petrossian crepe and loved it. 🥰 The Aiguillette de Canard might still be my favorite though.

Crepes! - Edit
I came here for the crepes because I see they get some mixed reviews on their dishes. So I just got the crepes and they were delicious. I got La Suzette, which is a crepe topped with orange liquor. I also got La Bryan which had the caramel drizzle and the gingerbread crumble on the inside. Both super different flavors and very yummy!

terrible food, nice waiter - Edit
My friend ordered the French toast and it was old white toast with sugar. The galette I got was loaded with a melted cheese that completely overwhelmed all other flavors, but it was overall bland; The ham was pretty tasteless. The crepe itself (dough) was good. The capuchino was watery. The sweet crepe was tasty.
Read moreUpdate: we went back to give them a second chance and were disappointed that everything is store-bought: cheese, meats, canned whipped milk. I know they’re struggling, but diners value quality, which we definitely didn’t find here.

Wonderful Dinner - Edit
A wonderful Friday night date in NYC. We tried the Escargots, Tournedos Rossini, Boeuf Bourguignon and La Bryan Crepe. Everything was great but I HIGHLY recommend the Tournedos Rossini!! The truffle sauce with the "steak" and "foie gras" was to dye for! I also loved the restaurant's decor and atmosphere. A must go to if you're in the area

AMAZING - Edit
Perhaps the best restaurant experience I've ever had!!! Their "salmon" bites made out of carrot fiber taste so wonderfully fish-like. I also had the escargot (made with mushrooms) which was just like the real thing. The beef burgundy was so deep and rich in flavor and the "meat" in it was wonderfully tender and savory. I also had a bite of this "chicken," sausage, and white bean stew and it was to die for. They also have incredible desserts and hot chocolate. The ambiance is especially nice and though I'm no expert on French culture it felt authentic to me. 100000/10

Could have been better - Edit
**TL;DR:** It was okay, but I wouldn’t go back
Read moreI had been really excited to try this restaurant. When I planned my trip back to NYC to visit family, it went straight to the top of my list.
We started with the French onion soup, which turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments. The soup had an overwhelming amount of cheese with a strong coconut flavor, which felt out of place. It was almost like there wasn’t any broth, and the onions were undercooked. We also tried the escargot, which everyone seems to rave about, but I found it to be average. It reminded me of a stuffed mushroom filling swimming in butter—nothing special.
For the mains, we had the Coq au Vin and (I believe) the Poulet Basquaise. These are rustic, farmhouse-style dishes, so I knew they’d be hearty. The Coq au Vin had far too many mushrooms, though the sauce was decent and the dish was quite meaty. The Poulet Basquaise was better—if I had to recommend anything, it would be this. The meat was tender, flavorful, and had a comforting, homemade, old-school quality to it.
We finished with the chocolate cake, which was good but slightly dry.
While the food was hit or miss, I was really surprised by how poor the service was. We were seated at a great table, but the service didn’t match the ambiance. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, yet it took forever for our table to be cleared. Our wine glasses sat empty through the entire main course, and no one checked in on us to offer more.
Overall, it was fair but didn’t live up to the hype or my expectations.
